A. Describe the learning activity. What will students be asked to do with the Thinkfinity learning object(s)?
This learning activity contains an interactive expedition game for students. Students read short scenarios and make choices on how to proceed. They are given feedback after each decision and shown how far they have traveled across the country. Students can also link to journal entries, maps, and other resources along the way.

B. Describe how the learning activity will address students’ individual needs – Differentiation

Groups will keep expedition journals detailing the choices they have made throughout the expedition. Each student will detail the reason for the each decision and can reflect on how choices made earlier in the simulation may or may not have been in the group’s best interest.

C. Effectiveness – What indicators can you expect to see / hear from students, which will inform you about the effectiveness of the learning activity?

Students will reflect on their expedition experience using their expedition journal and highlight the positive choices the team made and how they might revise other choices for a more positive outcome.
